Daniel joined IFMK Law as a Senior Trial Attorney after 20 years as the Chief Workers’ Compensation Trial Attorney at Zurich Staff Legal focusing on Major Case Unit Claims. He has litigated over 300 cases in 32 years before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Circuit Courts of Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, McHenry and Vermillion Counties, the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois and has achieved five successful outcomes and arguments before the Illinois Appellate Court on Workers’ Compensation cases.
Daniel was awarded a Chick Evans Golf Caddy Scholarship to Northwestern University. In college he played on the Northwestern Rugby Football Club and managed the Northwestern Men’ Basketball Team. During law school he worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines. He consistently made the Dean’s List and received the Book Award in Trial Advocacy.
Daniel has run 69 marathons, including 30 out of the last 40 Chicago Marathons. His most memorable run occurred in Pamplona, Spain when he ran with the bulls during the San Fermin Festival a decade ago. Daniel’s greatest joy and love is spending time with his children, Danny, Mia Rose, Nicolas and his energetic border collie, Mojo.
