Stephen M. McClary has spent the majority of his many years of practice in the defense of workers’ compensation cases. He started with Michael Inman & Associates, then went to Inman & Fitzgibbons, and now he is with IFMK Law. He has represented insurers, third party administrators and employers throughout his career at all levels through the State’s Appellate Court system and has experienced successes at all stops along the way. He has handled matters involving complex issues and catastrophic injuries and achieved numerous settlements in favor of his many clients.
Stephen began his endeavor into workers’ compensation law as a student in a workers’ compensation course in law school which was the first of its kind in Illinois. He became a class award recipient for earning the highest grade and went on as a young attorney to become an adversary of his professor. He learned that all sides to a resolution bring valued experiences and knowledge and are necessary in the worker's compensation arena. He hopes to continue learning as well as sharing his knowledge with colleagues and clients in this next and possibly final phase of his legal career.
