Jack Shanahan, Shareholder, retired from Inman & Fitzgibbons (I&F) as Vice President in March 2023. In his legal career, Jack practiced law in private firms and was In-House Counsel in defense of employers and insurance companies, with a focus on worker’s compensation, employer liability, negligence, and products liability. Jack has argued more than 100 trials before the Worker’s Compensation Commission and conducted numerous jury trials as a defendant as well as a third-party defendant in personal injury matters. He has also argued more than a dozen appeals before the Illinois Appellate Court and Illinois Supreme Court and recovered over $1,000,000 for clients in worker’s compensation liens, as intervening petitioner or third-party defendant, through settlements, mediations and jury trials.
In his free time, Jack has officiated high school and college football, including the NCAA Division III National Semifinal game in 2012.
