IFMK Attorney Obtains Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional Credentials
IFMK Law Senior Associate Attorney Frank Johnston received his Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional (CMSP) Designation and Certificate in December, 2024. The CMSP requires completing a 20-hour course, a written examination, and preparation of a case study. It covers training and credentials in all areas of the Medicare Secondary Payer Act (MSPA), including Section 111 reporting, Medicare conditional payments, and Medicare Set-aside Arrangements, and includes coursework in workers’ compensation, liability, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA), and the Defense Base Act.
