James G. Wargo, joined IFMK Law, Ltd from OKGC Law LLC. Jim has over twenty years of experience representing units of local government and private sector clients, including municipalities, counties, fire protection districts, townships, school districts, downstate firefighter and police pension funds, and private business entities in the capacity of general counsel and/or assistant general counsel as well as in litigation matters in both state and federal courts. James has experience in a broad range of legal areas, including general tort and liability defense, commercial litigation, employment and labor law, contract drafting and review, construction law, real estate acquisitions, public pension law, local prosecutions, election law, compliance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act and Open Meetings Act, and zoning and land use.
