Kevin Deuschle
Vice President

Kevin J. Deuschle joined IFMK Law from Inman & Fitzgibbons (I&F) where he was a Partner, Shareholder, and member of the Executive Committee. He was also and remains Chair of the firm’s Client Education Committee and Information Technology Practice Management group, including the Committee on Digital Ethics.

Kevin is primarily known for his Workers’ Compensation Defense practice, representing insurance carriers, self-insured businesses, risk management associations, third-party administrators, and municipalities in industries that include transportation, health care, food service, and manufacturing. He is also an experienced litigator who has consulted with clients on risk management and employment issues, enforcement of clients’ subrogation rights, Medicare Secondary Payer compliance issues and matters related to general insurance defense.

His practice also includes investigating strategies to actively mitigate his clients' long-term risk. As part of this effort, Kevin participates in the Business Engagement in Obesity Solutions Innovation Collaborative, a working group associated with the Roundtable on Obesity Solutions at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (The National Academies). This collaborative promotes business engagement strategies for obesity prevention and treatment with a focus on the health and economic well-being of companies, workers, and their communities. Kevin is also a member of Novo Nordisk's Obesity Advisory Board.

Kevin’s civic commitments include serving as Vice President of Kids’ Chance of Illinois, the state chapter of a national organization that awards scholarships to children whose parents have been killed or seriously injured in work-related accidents.

In law school Kevin was a member of the ABA Negotiations team (2000), Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court team (New York, New York, 2000), and participated in the Willlem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vienna, Austria, 2001).

He also knows hockey. In college, Kevin was Captain of the men’s ACHA Div. 1 hockey team and has since become an involved hockey dad.
