IFMK Attorneys Obtain Summary Judgment On Denial of Medical Care Claims Case in Central Illinois
IFMK Attorneys Joe Bracey, Kyle Moore, and Bhairav Radia, recently obtained summary judgment for several county jail employees on denial of medical care claims brought by a former detainee. Plaintiff, pro se, alleged that Jail staff refused to provide him medications due to the costs of the medication. The U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois ruled in Defendants’ favor, holding that the undisputed evidence showed that Plaintiff received medical care and treatment whenever he sought it while at the Jail, and that the Jail’s written policy specifically contradicted Plaintiff’s claims.
